Prof. Dr. Sama Venkatesh is a B. Pharm, M. Pharm from LM college of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, 1989 and PhD, Osmania University 2005, specializing in Pharmacognosy. I have started teaching career as lecturer at JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty and Joined at G. Pulla Reddy College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad in 1997 as Assistant Professor and became Professor in 2005. Prof. Dr. Sama Venkatesh is recipient of best Research Guide at National level, Rajnibhai V Patel Pharma Innova Award 2013-2014, in the subject Pharmacognosy. The award is sponsored by Troika Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Ahmadabad and under the patronage of Department of Science and technology and received Pharmacy teacher of year 2017 in Telangana state. I have established the scientific evidence of enhancing the antihyperlipidemic properties of statins by co administration with natural bio-enhancers. The students of department received several prestigious awards at national level like best M. Pharm thesis, outstanding pharmacy student of the year, winners of national elocution competition. I am reviewer of national and international journals. I have published 70 research papers, presented 20 papers, chaired several conferences and delivered scientific lectures at various conferences and workshops. Total32 years of teaching and research experience, guided 60 M. Pharm students and 3 PhD students. The total citations of his research are 1529, Google h index is 21, Harzings g index is 29.
