Continuous Assessment

Our assessment system goes beyond traditional methods, embracing a dynamic approach that nurtures critical thinking, creativity, and practical proficiency. By integrating Kolb's cycle into our evaluation framework, we empower students to embark on a journey of continuous learning and self-improvement, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to excel in their academic and professional endeavors. It encompasses theory, laboratory, and project components, each designed to measure and enhance student learning outcomes.

Theory

The theory component is structured to evaluate theoretical comprehension while engaging students in active learning practices. Divided into three phases corresponding to Kolb's cycle, this segment ensures a deep understanding of core concepts.

Assessment as Learning: Students engage in preparatory activities to assess their understanding before formal instruction. Through pre-learning assessments, students delve into fundamental concepts, laying a robust foundation for subsequent learning.

Assessment for Learning: Reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation are key facets of this phase. Through reflective journals, assignments, and interactive sessions, students continuously gauge their progress and comprehension, fostering a dynamic learning environment.

Assessment of Learning: Culminating the learning cycle, this stage evaluates overall understanding through reflective essays and comprehensive quizzes, providing a comprehensive overview of student mastery.

Laboratory

The laboratory component emphasizes hands-on learning, aligning with all phases of Kolb's cycle. Through a variety of assessments, students apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings, honing their skills and analytical abilities.

Course Project

In the experiential learning journey of the course project, students navigate Kolb's cycle, focusing on real-world problem-solving and application of concepts. Assessment for learning techniques, such as precedent studies and project design, facilitate ongoing progress evaluation, while assessment of learning methods, including project demonstrations and presentations, ensure the culmination of practical skills and innovative thinking.
