He taught M. Sc students, for 5 year during 1989-94 as research scholar and teaching assistant and then worked as Post Doctoral Fellow (CSIR Fellowship) for 1 year and 6 months during 1994 at S. K. University, Anantapur. He joined N.I.H, ( I.I.T), Roorkee as Scientist鈥� B鈥� in Hydrology & Environmental Lab. for one year (1996-97). He worked on Australia 鈥� Indian projects as a coordinator and also involved in studies for utilization of sewage water for crops, Yamuna River water quality monitoring and pollution control, Ganga River water quality monitoring, fluoride in drinking water studies in Rajasthan, UP and Andhra Pradesh etc. He had been a Research Supervisor for M.Phil. students (1students at R&D NMDC) and Project Guide for B. Tech students: (200 students)

Dr. C. Kesava Rao joined NMDC Limited in 1997 and worked up to 2024 ( 28 years) . He have undertaken process development research as HOD in Chemical, hydrometallurgy and Nano technology at laboratory and pilot plant levels. He had been involved in following major developmental work as a in charge of Chemical, Nano Technology Unit and Hydro 鈥揕ab R&D NMDC:

In addition to regular activities, He had been assigned the job of ISO & IMS Internal auditor and Project Coordinator for coordinating R&D projects (including MOU Projects), preparation of documents for R&D Awards, DSIR Recognition. He is also responsible for preparation of all MOS reports for NMDC Management and also for Ministry of Steel, DPE etc. and preparation of annual Performance Highlights of R&D Centre. Earlier he has been involved in collaborative research programmes with NCCBM, Ballabgarh (for utilization of kimberlite tailings as performance improver in cement preparation), with Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (MISA) for setting up facilities for preparation of Nano-crystalline iron powder from grade-i Blue dust concentrate, CSMCRI, Bhavnagar (setting up of a pilot scale plant for production of value added silica based products from kimberlite tailings for production of Zeolite 鈥� A, sodium silicate and precipitated silica from kimberlite), with NALCO and IMMT, Bhubaneswar (Nickel TPP from chromate over burden has been operated successfully and a process know how package has been made) He has attended many programmes on Executive Development, Computer Orientation, Communication Skills, Management Development, Patenting in India and Abroad, Mentoring and Coaching for Senior Executives, Internal auditor for ISO9001-2000, IMS & ISO9001-2008. He has visited Middle East countries on official assignment.

He has been a Research Supervisor for B. Tech students:for more than 200 students, at NIH, (IIT Roorkee) and R&D NMDC, M.Phil student (1 student at R&D NMDC) As a in charge of Hydrometallurgy lab and Nano Technology Unit actively involved in Research and Development in Hydrometallurgical studies and developing the new process and technology for product Development from mines waste.

2 Indian Patents and 3 US Patents. Published more than 10 papers (including in international journals - Elsevier-Talanta (The International Journal of Pure and Applied Analytical Chemistry). presented more than 66 papers in National and International conferences. I chaired many conferences and delivered many invited talks and visiting lectures in IMMT, Bhubaneswar, IIT, Roorkee, IIT Dhanbad, IISc, Bangalore.
