The School of Management at Aurora University proudly inaugurated two new academic excellence initiatives 鈥� the Centre for Case Research and the Centre for Digital Finance and Banking 鈥� aimed at promoting experiential learning, research, and innovation in management education. The Centres were formally inaugurated by Mr.Bommidi Sandeep Kumar, Manager, City Union Bank, Hyderabad, in the presence of faculty members, students, and industry experts.
The Centre for Case Research will serve as a hub for developing and disseminating high-quality teaching cases rooted in Indian business contexts, fostering critical thinking and practical insight among students.
The Centre for Digital Finance and Banking will focus on emerging trends in fintech, digital banking, and financial literacy, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices.
Together, these Centres reinforce the School鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence, industry engagement, and the development of future-ready management professionals.
As part of the inaugural session, an Expert Talk on 鈥淒igital Banking and Cybersecurity Awareness鈥� was delivered by the chief guest Mr.Bommidi Sandeep Kumar. The session reflected upon the evolution of traditional banking over the past few decades and touched upon the emerging trend of neobanks and the way they operate. The strong banking technology along with student centric aspects like the importance of CIBIL score for educational loans and the cautious usage of SLICE cards was also dealt. The role of the Central Bank, the Reserve Bank of India was also discussed by the expert.
The session was highly engaging and garnered a lot of curiosity highlighted by the diverse questions posed by the students on cybersecurity and contemporary developments in banking and finance.
